The image use on the contents page fits with the genre of the magazine as, the magazine is a RnB magazine. And the main image is of a male wearing a lot of jewellery, a backwards hat and gold teeth which is things often associated with the RnB genre. This therefore keeps the consistency of the magazine, as it continues to promote the idea that it Vibe is an RnB magazine, as doesn't change into a different genre eg into rock.
The contents page has a strict colour scheme of; red, white and black. This keeps consistenacy thoughout the magazine, as it follows the house style. Therefore the reader would always know what magazine they are reading due to the fact that there is a conistent colour scheme. This promotes the magazine to be sophsicated and organised,which relfects the brand indentity.
The font used is sans-serif font. and the word 'contents' is placed over 3 lines. The masthead is bold and big which has connotations of strength and confidence. Which reflects the target audience as they are seen as confident and bold people, who aren't afraid to stand
out from the crowd and be unique.
The contents page doesn't contain a lot of information about the interior content of the magazine. This therefore adds a sense of enigma as the target audience won't know a lot of information about what is in the magazine, therefore there will be an element of surprise when they turn the page.
The name of the magazine is in black in the corner of the magazine. which is a prime place to put the title, this is where the title of many music magazines are found. as it is one of the first things you see due to it being postioned at the top of the page. Also, it also will follow the house style of the magazine, which will add consistenancy to the magazine.
There is a large V in the background of the contents page, which is a feature of the design element as it would be incorporated into the housestyle, therefore any page you turn to, you would know that you're reading vibe magazine, which adds to the brand indentity.
