Usually in the RnB genre, music videos typically have women who wear miminal clothing. This therefore reperesnting the genre of the video and the genre of RnB as it is a common code of the genre. Furthermore, RnB videos are usally very sexual, with a lot of people to the oppsite genre of the person who is the main star in the video, in this case Nicki Minaj. Therefore there are a lot of topless males presented through the video, as well as women wearing mimimal clothing, and Nicki Minaj herself. In the older RnB music video, women are often portayed as royalty and Godesses. However, due to the genre of music envovling along with the periodic time, women are often now seen as more dominant than males; such as they are the dominant figure in a relationship, which is portayed throughout this video.
RnB male videos often has the males wearing certain clothing such as; chains and jewellery as well oversized clothes. This is due to the fact that they try to present their wealth and status through the clothes they wear. This is the same type of clothing often found on the coverstars of the RnB music magazine. Furthermore, the videos and genre are often seen as very sexual as if they aren't wearing oversized clothes, they are often topless and have abbs. This is due the fact that they try to reach out to the female audience through their lack of clothing. The videos are often filmed in locatiosn sucha as night clubs or a place with a lot of cars present. Through the video one of the main focuses apart from the Chris Brown is the use of vehicles and cars, this also therefore portrays their wealth. As well as supports the sterotype that all men love cars.
