Digipak
A digipak is a promotional cover used by an artist it usually used to be made from cardboard but now some artist make them from plastic to keep them looking better for longer. the main purpose of them is to promote the artist. This can be through pictures as well as links to their websites. The first ever digipak was made by Mead Westvaco which is now trademarked. The front of the digipak is used to promote the artist in a certain way. It often promotes their personality and the genre is established straight away. The digipak most likely has a them and a message behind it to make sure all aspects of the digipak work hand in hand. A digipak can often be very creative or simplistic depending on the artist and genre as well as the them of the album. digpaks help bring awareness to the artist as well as encouraging them to buy it.​
Here I analysed digipaks of which some are pop genre and some aren't this allowed me to find forms and conventions which can be reflected in my own digipak
