Copyright

An essential part of our A2 Coursework of making a music video is that we needed copyright permission for the song we wanted to use.Copyright is defined as " legal right, given to the originator for a fixed number of years, to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material". Therefore we need to obtain copyright permission

to make sure that all credit goes to its rightful owners. Therefore we must contact the artist and try to get permission to make a music video to the song. Therefore, to do this we decided to tweet the artist. In order to get a direct response from her. We did this because we thought it was the best chance of her seeing because she has 2.5k+ followers.

However, we realised that we was unsuccessful in getting a response after tweeting her a couple of times. We deiced to do some more research so we could get permission to use the song. We found out that she was signed to a small record label called "Relentlss Records" which is a UK based record label. It is a record label under the parent company of Sony music. With this information we deiced to email her record label and ask for permission to use the song and also to see if we can get the lyrics as the song is fairly new and because she is a new artist, we found it difficult to find the lyrics online.

Through emailing Reckless records we got a response and was granted permission to use the music to produce out music video.
