PITCH 1
Feedback
-
A band is definitely needed, in order to include instruments obviously heard in the track, such as the electric guitar and drums, and so that within a performance the artist is not singing alone.
-
The setting of the garage is good as a performance venue as we are able to style the garage so it fits with not only the genre but also the theme of the video..
-
The suggested artists, especially Becky, were good, in terms of distance, look and experience.
-
The use of animal masks and the setting of a field would not contribute to the music video and so should be avoided as it is something the examers don't like.
-
White water suggests rafting and turbulence. This should be considered when filming the cuts of the water.
-
An idea of filming a water cut is water droplets running down a window, maybe with the subject looking out of the window to highlight the water fact.
-
"I keep drowning in white water" is the line repeated multiple times in the song therefore we must make reference to this in terms of what we see. As there is a relationship between what we see and hear.
-
A slow mo of a stream of water could be inserted after the first chorus.
Next steps
-
Find the lyrics, analyse to find what they are about, and what mood and feelings they convey.
-
A full performance will need to be filmed prior to editing, so where the cuts need to be placed can be decided after.
-
A second pitch will need to be made, including more information as to the artist and band members for example, to avoid being too vague.
-
Also, think of a theme for the video to follow eg love, loss, heartbreak, reality etc.
